Letter from the Chairwoman

As a child I remember there was a special day in the Bronx. The streets were filled with beautiful floats, musicians, baton dancers, marching bands and many people waiving the Puerto Rican flag. It was the Bronx Puerto Rican Parade right before my eyes. This is how I was introduced to The Bronx Puerto Rican Day Parade, Inc. I was immediately drawn to the culture, the energy and the overall excitement expressed by the community.
The Bronx Puerto Rican Day Parade, Inc. has reintroduced me to my Puerto Rican culture. It has taught me to embrace my history and appreciate its rich and diverse culture. It has motivated me to be more involved in all aspects of the Puerto Rican heritage and to share it with the community.

It is important for us to understand our history and our culture in order to accept it and embrace it as it is what shape us. The Bronx Puerto Rican Day Parade, Inc. is committed to maintaining their focus on culture, traditions and community. Through our events the organization cooperates with many other organizations and groups that represent our culture and collaborates with other organizations that represent other cultures as they are part of our community.

I am very happy to be part of a prestigious organization that cherishes our historical foundations and continues to educate our youth and our community. I look forward to continue the legacy of The Bronx Puerto Rican Day Parade, Inc. and I hope you can join me in our future events.

Que Viva Puerto Rico!
